Description:

Patients: This multicentre Phase II trial involved 14 patients with recuurent glioblastoma multiforme. (14 patients were assessable for tumor response. 15 patients were assessable for toxicity.)

Treatment: Treatment consisted of the drugs lonidamine and diazepam.

Toxicity: The only grade 3 toxicity was somnolence. Other toxicities (2 or less) included: asthenia, muscular pain, and testicular pain.

Results: No complete or partial responses were observed. Median overall survival was 15 weeks (3.5 months).
