Description:

Patients: This Phase II study involved 32 newly diagnosed patients with glioblastoma multiforme. All patients were over 70 years of age.

Treatment: Treatments consisted of the administration of the chemotherapy drug, temozolomide (temodar) after surgery or biopsy.

Toxicity: Grade 3-4 toxicities included thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, fatigue, nausea, and emesis.

Results: The median overall survival was 6.4 months.
