Description:

Patients: This study involved 32 patients with inoperable hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer). The majority (26) were men. The median age was 50, ranging from 33 to 67 years old.

Treatment: Patients were treated with the chemotherapy drugs oxaliplatin and doxorubicin.

Toxicity: Grade 3 and 4 anemia, thrombocytopenia, and neutropenia were reported. Grade 4 neutropenia was the most common grade 4 toxicity, occuring in six patients. Grade 3 febrile neutropenia was reported in three patients.

Results: The median overall survival was 7.13 months (31 weeks).
