Description:

Patients: This Phase I study involved 21 patients with advanced (stage IIIB or IV) non-small cell lung cancer. The average age of patients was 69.

Treatment: The treatment consisted of two drugs, gemcitabine and nedaplatin.

Toxicity: Grade 4 toxicities included neutropenia and thrombocytopenia. Other toxicities (grade 3 or less) included nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, elevation of transaminase, elevation of creatinine, and infection.

Results: Median survival time was 8.0 months.
