Description:

Patients:
This phase 3 study involved 4 advanced bladder cancer patients who had previously received cisplatin-based chemotherapy. The median patient age was 65.1 years; no information about gender was given.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the chemotherapy agents gemcitabine and paclitaxel until progression of disease.

Toxicities:
Treatment-related deaths due to infection and respiratory failure were reported. Grade 4 anemia was also reported.

Results:
The median overall survival was 8.0 months.
