Description:

Patients: This Phase II study involved 62 patients with supratentorial glioblastoma multiforme. One patient was removed after refusing protocol treatment.

Treatment: Treatment consisted of a chemotherapy drug, paclitaxel (taxol) and conventional external beam radiation therapy.

Toxicity: Toxicities included grade 1-4 nausea/vomiting, grade 1-2 diarhhea, grade 1-2 mucosistis, grade 3-4 allergy, grade 1-2 neutropenia, grade 1-2 thrombocytopenia, and grade 1-4 neurotoxicity.

Results: With median potential follow-up of 20 months, actual median survival was 9.7 months.
