Description:

Patients:
This study involved 38 men with previously treated castration-resistant prostate cancer with a median age of 74.5 years.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the chemotherapy agents paclitaxel and carboplatin.

Toxicities:
The most severe toxicities were of grade 4, including leukopenia and neutropenia. Grade 3 anemia and fatigue were also reported.

Results:
The median overall survival was 9.9 months.
