Description:

Patients: This study involved 19 patients with advanced (stages IIIA or IIIB) non-small cell lung cancer. The median age of patients was 60 years old.

Treatment: The treatment consisted of two chemotherapy drugs - docetaxel (taxotere) in combination with cisplatin (platinol) and thoracic radiation therapy.

Toxicity: Grade 3 toxicities included nausea/vomiting, leucopenia, anemia, diarrhea, constipation, and esophagitis.

Results: The median survival for all patients was 10.5 months.
