Description:

Patients:
This phase 2 study involved 74 women with recurrent, platinum-sensitive ovarian cancer. The median patient age was 64 years.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with a combination of the chemotherapy agents docetaxel and carboplatin.

Toxicities:
The most severe toxicities were of grade 4 and included neutropenia and thrombocytopenia. Grade 3 neurotoxicity was also reported.

Results:
The median overall survival was 33.2 months.
