Description:

Patients: This phase II study involved 11 women with recurrent epithelial ovarian cancer.

Treatment: The treatment consisted of a biological agent called bryoststin-1. Bryostatin-1 is a naturally occurring macrocyclic lactone with antineoplastic activity derived from the marine bryozoan, Bugula neritina.

Toxicity: Grade 3 toxicities included myalgia, fatigue, and vomiting.

Results: There were no responses and median survival was not reported.
