Description:

Patients: This multicenter Phase II trial involved 31 patients with recurrent glioblastoma multiforme.

Treatment: Patients were treated with glufosfamide, a new chemotherapy drug.

Toxicity: Toxicities included grade 3-4 hematological toxicity and grade 3 hepatotoxicity, increase in bilirubin, infection, vomiting and electrolyte disturbances.

Results: No responses were observed.
