Description:

Patients: This Phase I/II study involved 17 women with relapsed ovarian or peritoneal cancer. None of the patients had prior radiotherapy, and all patients had at least one chemotherapy treatment. The median age was 60 years.

Treatment: Treatment consisted of two chemotherapeutic agent: topotecan and carboplatin.

Toxicity: Grade 3-4 toxicities included allergy, neutropenia, anemia, leukopenia, and thrombocytopenia.

Results: The median overall survival was not reported. Thirteen patients responded to treatment, including four patients with a complete response.
