Description:

Patients:
This study involved 68 advanced/recurrent colorectal cancer patients who had not received prior chemotherapy. The median patient age was 63 years and 38 were male.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the chemotherapy agents 5-fluorouracil, levofolinate calcium, and oxaliplatin, in addition to the biologic therapy agent bevacizumab.

Toxicities:
The most severe toxicities were of grade 4 and included neutropenia, peripheral neuropathy (nerve toxicity), and hypertension.

Results:
The median overall survival was 28.5 months.
