Description:

Patients: Forty-two patients with recurrent glioblastoma multiforme were enrolled in this Phase II study.

Treatment: Treatment consisted of the administration of the anti-angiogenesis drug, thalidomide.

Toxicity: Toxicities included fatigue (grade 1-3), constipation (grade 1-3), rash (grade 1-3), xerostomia (1-3), oedema (grade 1-2), diarrhea (grade 2), and nausea/vomiting (grade 1-2).

Results: Median survival was 31 weeks (7.2 months).
