Description:

Patients:
This phase 2 study involved 151 metastatic or locally advanced urothelial carcinoma patients who had received prior platinum-based chemotherapy. The median patient age was 66 years and 80.1% were male.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the chemotherapy agent vinflunine.

Toxicities:
There were two treatment-related deaths due to heart attack and sepsis (infection). Grade 3/4 neutropenia, leukopenia, and constipation were also reported.

Results:
The median overall survival was 8.2 months.
