Description:

Patients: This Phase II study involved 58 patients (44 men, 14 women) with platinum-refractory non-small-cell lung cancer. The median age was 60 years. Forty patients had two or more metastatic sites.

Treatment: The treatment consisted of two chemotherapeutic drugs: paclitaxel and celecoxib.

Toxicities: Grade 1-4 toxicities include neutropenia, leukopenia, and diarrhea. Grade 1-3 toxicities included peripheral neuropathy, allergies, and fatigue.

Results: The median survival time was 11 months.
